This is le viaduc de millau in France. It is the tallest road bridge in the world. One of the masts in the bridge is 1125 feet tall. At its highest point above ground, it is 890 feet above the Tarn river. The road way is 8100 feet long and 100 feet wide. It weighs 36,000 tons. It blows my mind that we can construct something like this. And how much smarter people are capable of being than myself. I have enough trouble passing microeconomics, and people are building bridges that are more than 800 feet tall? Some people get all the luck. I bet those engineers are loaded.
