Chicken Nuggets in My Pocket

I suppose there are some perks to being in Aurora again.

1. Caribou coffee. Not only is it just as delicious as Starbucks (if not better, in my opinion) it’s about 10% cheaper. That makes it much better than the ‘bucks.
2. Jewel. That’s right, Jewel Osco. I’d forgotten about the delicious Jewel brand grocery items to be obtained. Case in point: Sensational Seafood Salad. This creamy mix of shredded crab meat and tiny shrimp is worth its weight in gold. It certainly is sensational.
3. Flatland. This is self explanatory. There are hardly ANY hills in A-Town. My calves may soon rest again.
4. Portillo’s. Cake shakes more specifically. Only like three sips though. Then it gets excessive.
5. Dogs. I have no dogs in Dubuque. Other than Izzy, but I can’t cuddle with her. She’s too small. And yappy. Props to Tank and Carmen. And Snowball, but you can only pet her when she wants to be pet. Otherwise you have to get a tetanus shot. Just like my mother had to.
6. Free parking. There are hardly any chances of me getting a ticket. Once I successfully have a driveway again, I will have unlimited free parking in it. Fo sho!
7. Linda drives me places. Thus Linda pays for gas. Schwing!

Things that are kind of lame:

1. I hate my job. And dread starting again.
2. I have no money, still. Also, my parents can’t supply me as me fajah is temporarily unemployed. So much for a fun summa.
3. Dogs. Yes, they are a perk, but they are also furry. And thus my clothing is furry. And that is not natural. Also, our house smells like dog. And I’ve developed a weird ear ache since I’ve been here….
4. I kind of miss cafe potatoes. We don’t really eat potatoes here. And they’re pretty much my favorite vegetable.
5. Gas prices are much higher at home. If you’re not paying at least $4 ($4.30 in the city by my brother’s house), you’re paying $3.99 so it looks cheaper. Ridiculous.

Summer, so far, appears it may be DECENT. We’ll see how things pan out….Peace!
